This accessibility statement explains how Legacy Construction supports homeowners using the website and provides a way to report a barrier.

If a page or form is difficult to use, contact the company by phone or email so the project conversation can continue through another route.

The statement describes the website accessibility approach and feedback process, while acknowledging that some third-party content is outside our direct control.

This accessibility statement explains how Legacy Construction works to make this website usable for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation or screen magnification. If any part of the site gets in your way, we want to hear about it.

Our Commitment

We build and review this site with accessibility in mind, and we treat it as ongoing work rather than a box checked once. When we find a barrier, or someone reports one, we fix it.

The Standard We Work Toward

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We do not claim full, certified conformance, because accessibility testing is never finished, but that standard guides how the site is designed and built.

What We Have Built In

  • A clear heading structure, and link text that says where each link goes
  • Alt text on meaningful images, and a visible label on every form field
  • Text and button colors checked for contrast against WCAG Level AA

Known Limitations

Embedded maps from Google Maps and OpenStreetMap may not work well with every screen reader. Our address is always written out in text as well: 185 Ridge Rd, Portland, ME 04103.

How to Report a Problem

Tell us the page you were on and what you were trying to do, and we will work on a fix.
