Who We Are
Legacy Construction is a custom home builder and general contractor at 185 Ridge Rd, Portland, ME 04103, owned and run by Joe Hausler. We perform our own construction work under our own contracts, and the information you send us stays with our company and the service providers named below.
Information We Collect
When you fill out a contact form or the estimate quiz on this site, we collect what you enter.
- Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
- Project details: the project address, the type of project, a budget range and any message you write.
- Submission details: whether you checked the consent box, the page you submitted from and the time you sent it.
We also keep what you tell us by phone, text or email, along with our notes from site visits and project conversations. If you become a client, your contract, drawings, schedule and invoices become part of your project record.
When you browse the site, Google Analytics and Google Ads use cookies to record the pages you view, how you arrived and the kind of device and browser you use. They also estimate your general location from your IP address.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you send us to:
- answer your inquiry, set up a site visit and prepare an estimate
- run your project if you hire us, including the contract, the schedule, invoices and warranty service
- send the appointment confirmations, reminders and project updates you agreed to receive
We use site usage data to learn which pages help visitors and whether our advertising reaches people planning a project. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not give your project details to other companies for their own marketing.
Where Your Information Goes
We use a short list of service providers to run this website and our follow-up. Each one handles your information only to provide its service to us.
- GoHighLevel, our customer relationship management system (CRM). Every form and the estimate quiz on this site send what you enter to our GoHighLevel account. It stores your details and the history of our conversation with you, and we use it to call, text and email you about your project.
- Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics uses cookies to measure how visitors use the site. We do not send it your name, phone number or email address.
- Google Ads conversion tracking. When you reach the site from a Google ad, Google Ads uses a cookie to record whether that visit led to a form submission, so we can see which ads work. The conversion event we send says that a lead came in and carries no name, phone number or email address.
- Cloudflare, our website host. Our host receives standard technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, when it delivers each page.
- Embedded maps. Some pages show maps from Google Maps and OpenStreetMap, and those providers receive your IP address when a map loads.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, such as in response to a subpoena or court order. We may disclose it to protect our rights, our clients or the public as well.
Text Messages and Phone Calls
Every form on this site has a consent box, and it is never checked for you in advance. When you check it, you agree to the following.
"I agree that Legacy Construction may contact me about this project at the number and email above, including by automated technology, SMS and email. Consent is not a condition of any purchase."
Our texts cover appointment confirmations and reminders, plus updates on your project. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts from us, and we will confirm by text that you are unsubscribed.
- Reply HELP for help, or call us at (207) 544-4607.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not share your mobile number or your text message consent with any third party for its own marketing. Mobile information goes only to the providers that deliver our messages.
You can withdraw consent to calls, texts or emails at any time. Reply STOP, tell us on a call or email joe@legacyconstructionme.com.
Cookies and Your Choices About Them
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on and manage ad personalization in Google's ad settings.
